Asiuwhu Hails Major General Akpor For Generous Donation To Uduophori Secondary School
Major General, O.J Akpor, today 3rd of February 2025, made a historic donations of 72 Classroom desk and some Chairs and Tables to Uduophori Secondary Commercial School, Uduophori in PataniLocalGovernmentArea of Delta State.
Major General O.J. Akpor is an illustrious Son of Uduophori federated Community and class ’83, the pioneer set of the institution.
The kind gesture of the Army General of giving back to his alma mater was highly applauded by the students, school management and the community’s leadership.
Chief Godspower Omafuvwe Asiuwhu JP, Chairman State Taskforce on Environment, who represented the Army General and on his behalf, presented the procured School Desks, Chairs and Tables to the school management staff.
During the Presentation, Olorogun Asiuwhu lauded the leadership virtues of the Army General for his kind gesture, noting that this is not the first of its kind in attending/assistance in issues geared toward the overall progress of the community
Furthermore, Chief Asiuwhu highlighted the importance of education to societal growth and good learning environment is a key to quality education. And by this knowledge, the Maj.Gen. was spurred in commitment to ensuring that school children are comfortable in the classroom to make the task of teaching and learning easier for them.
The Principal of the School,Mrs Olokor,on receiving the items,thanked Major General Jimmy Akpor for his benevolence and kind gesture and prayed God to elevate him to the pinnacle of his career.
